Product development
As an expert in staple fiber-based nonwovens with 30 years of experience, I advise on product and process development for all types of fibers, be they natural, mineral, or chemical fibers, and develop or redesign nonwoven products based on, among other things, the following processes:
Aerodynamic fleece formation (airlay)
Nonwoven formation using carding and crosslapping
Thermobonding or drying
Mechanical or hydrodynamic (water jet) hardening
Market and profitability studies
We conduct market and feasibility studies, as well as energy analyses. We can assist with the preparation of documents for municipal or state permits.
We conduct life cycle analyses and look at how nonwovens can be recycled or reprocessed.
Machine and system selection
Depending on customer requirements and budget, we develop concepts for production lines based on either new or used machines, or a combination of both. We procure and qualify new and used machines and assess whether they are technically and technologically suitable for the task.
